Working with undergraduate graphic design students at the University of the West of England. The second part of this two-day workshop will focus collating the material generated during Part A.
Students will work towards generating posters that summarise the stories they inputted into the “Tales of Care and Repair” website, as well as closing on the look and feel of the “Repair Declarations”, which be showcased as part of the “Tales of Care and Repair” symposium on the 8th and 9th Nov.

What Happened
The second part of this workshop opened with a return welcome from Teresa, followed by an overview of last weeks session and some key manifesto references, such as those relating to Manifesto of Futurism (1902), Guerrilla Girls, The Advantages of Being A Woman Artist (1988), Gilbert and George’s, The Laws of Sculptors (1970) and Grayson Perry, Red Alan’s Manifesto (2014). Dawn Giles, artist and textile maker, who is also working on the production of TALES OF CARE AND REPAIR also provided an overview of banners, slogan and badges, she has made including those inspired by the Suffragette movement.
The students returned to their working groups completing their posters which were presented and critiqued by tutors and workshops leaders. A selection of posters will be on display during the final online symposium on the 8-9th Nov.
